Treadmill ratings you can count on...
Useful, unbiased treadmill info.
along with a respected treadmill ratings system, can be
tough to find on the net, but not anymore! We have researched
some of the most popular treadmill brands on the market, and
now we bring that
research to you.
A treadmill is the hottest
piece of fitness equipment being used. They outsell every
other form of exercise equipment being sold. To put it simply,
the reason why treadmills are so popular is because using a
treadmill regularly is one of the best ways to burn calories,
lose weight, and get in shape!
But there are a lot of treadmill brands,
manufacturers, and models out there, so which one do you buy?
It can be a tough decision, so let us make your decision a bit
easier by providing you with some neatly packaged treadmill
research we've recently completed. After all, you have better
things to do.
Here are a few things to look for
when purchasing a treadmill:
-
Treadmill motor - This is the
heart of your treadmill. We recommend getting a treadmill that
has at least a 2.5 horsepower. Anything less and you're asking
for trouble if you use the treadmill regularly.
-
Treadmill deck - the deck (your
running surface) needs to have plenty of shock absorption
otherwise your knees and ankles are in for a rough time. Look
for rubber or polymer cushions placed under the deck.
-
Incline - The good news is that
most all treadmills have an incline feature allowing you to
run uphill for a more strenuous and better workout. The
incline ranges will vary from treadmill to treadmill, but make
sure you do get one that inclines.
-
Heart Rate Monitors - Most
treadmills these days come equipped with heart rate monitors
in different shapes and sizes. This allows you to maintain
your optimum heart rate.
-
Warranty - All treadmill
manufacturers will back up their treadmills with a warranty,
but look for ones that'll have a lengthy warranty. The better
treadmills will have warranties covering you for at least 10
years on the motor, 3 years on parts, and 1 year on service.
Okay...so without any further
delay, pull up a chair, bookmark this site, and visit the
various pages on our website to find out which treadmills have
high treadmill ratings, and which do not. And don't
forget to check out the latest fitness news below.
