The Epic Treadmill reviewed.
The Epic treadmill is another treadmill brand
manufactured by the grand daddy of Exercise, ICON Health and Fitness.
ICON basically brought the Epic brand back to life for a few
retail chains, the most recognized being Costco.
The Epic t60 treadmill is a
popular treadmill and is priced right, but because the
pricing is under $1,000, it won't have quite the ruggedness or
solid built construction like some other treadmills on the
market, most notably the
Smooth treadmill.
A couple areas of concern for the Epic treadmills could be the
keypad which seems to give some ICON models trouble. And the deck coating is
considered thin. In addition, they use the cheaper rollers, so
it is recommended that if you were to purchase this treadmill, get yourself an extended
warranty from Universal Technical Services (UTS). They can be
reached at 1-800-677-3838. Make sure you purchase the extended
warranty within 90 days after your treadmill purchase. Epic does
have a 12 year warranty on the motor however, so that is a
definite plus.
A very respected treadmill review source named Treadmill
Doctor has given the Epic treadmill a Best Buy rating, and
we tend to agree. For the price, you just can't go wrong.
Our rating for the Epic is a 7/10. It's a good budget
treadmill, but with this low price, you're not going
to get the 4 ply tread belts, custom rollers, power folding
capabilities, and all the other bells and whistles that many
times come standard on the higher end treadmills.
There is no website for the Epic brand
because, as we mentioned earlier, it was basically resurrected
for retail stores like Costco. So if you're interested
in an Epic, head on down to your local Costco.
