Image Treadmills are another of the many brands produced by ICON Health and Fitness. Although Image is not as well known as some of ICON's other treadmill brands like Proform, NordicTrack, or Weslo, this tends to favor you when it comes to their pricing.

The Image brand of treadmills range in price from $400 to $800 so if you're looking for affordability, then look no farther than an Image treadmill.

The Image brand is a well designed treadmill, but that's about all it has going for it. They have to be designed well because they generally use the cheapest parts in the business. Although to be fair, in recent years it appears some of the Image models do have slightly better quality parts in them. It looks like ICON was able to figure out where they can buy better quality parts for less money overseas. This is evident in their top of the line (still under $800 though) Image 23.0 Q model for example which now has a higher quality drive motor. This of course explains why the motor warranty is longer, but because of the low, low pricing, it's obvious that some of the key components of the treadmill will suffer.

If you do purchase an Image treadmill, then whatever you do, please pick up an extended warranty from Universal Technical Services (UTS). They can be reached at 1-800-677-3838. This will at least give you that extra protection which is definitely needed when you own an Image brand of treadmill.

And if you're strictly limited to looking at treadmills in the Image price range, then do a treadmill comparison by reading what we have to say about the Epic treadmill, or even the Proform treadmills (slightly higher but better quality). If you can spare a few more dollars, then look at the Smooth treadmill product line for the best value in addition to high quality.

Although we're fans of ICON, and we know they are committed to this industry trying to develop the best products, we have to give Image treadmills a lackluster 4/10 rating. Cheap pricing results in cheaper parts resulting in cheaper quality which will result in you having a cheaper experience.
