| Need
treadmill parts?
Finding treadmill parts for your broken treadmill isn't that
hard, but you'll generally have to search online to find exactly
what you're looking for. Searching at the local fitness stores
or sporting good stores can be a hit and miss proposition at
best. Sometimes you can get lucky locally, but
normally it's a huge time waster.
The first thing to do when a part on your
treadmill
breaks is to check what the warranty is for your treadmill. Although we've seen
motors on treadmills with warranties as long as 30 years,
other parts generally have a much shorter time limit. In some
cases, it may be limited to only 90 days as we've seen with
some Proform treadmill models. The better built treadmills
like the Landis brand, will have the longer warranty because
they know their treadmills last a long, long time.
Once you've investigated the status of your warranty, you'll
know which direction to go...straight to the manufacturer or
searching online to find your particular treadmill part.
One of the best ways to avoid going through the aggravation
and process of having to search for a treadmill part is to try
and prevent it from breaking in the first place. Makes sense,
right? Treadmills, like an automobile, need to be maintained
on a regular basis. This assumes that you're using it of
course, and not hanging clothes on it. :o)
So there are actually places that sell treadmill maintenance
kits which can prevent not only the need for parts, but also
the expense of costly repairs. These maintenance kits are
designed
to take care of minor maintenance, lubricating, and belt
adjustments. Probably the most important part of maintaining
your treadmill is keeping the belt lubricated, so all
maintenance kits will contain a treadmill belt lubricant.
Mega Fitness has a number of different treadmill maintenance
kits so go ahead and grab one. It's such a cheap investment
and will definitely extend the life of your treadmill.
If you find yourself constantly buying treadmill parts for
your treadmill, then give some serious
consideration to buying a higher quality treadmill like a
Landis
treadmill or a
Smooth
treadmill. For every
day that your treadmill is broken waiting to be fixed, that's
less calories you're able to burn. And that, as we all know,
is not good.
